In the face of unprecedented challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, small businesses in East Harris County found themselves struggling to survive. Recognizing the need for immediate assistance, East Harris County Empowerment Council (EHCEC) in partnership with the Harris County Small Business Relief Fund provided financial assistance to East Harris County businesses ensuring that small business owners could stay afloat during challenging times. This support became a lifeline for many businesses in the region.

Recognizing the need to go beyond short-term relief, EHCEC has shifted its focus to fostering long-term growth for small businesses, to position East Harris County as a vibrant hub for small business growth and drive economic opportunity. To achieve this, EHCEC has developed the EHCTX Small Business survey that aims to understand the unique needs of small businesses in East Harris County to connect businesses to resources and opportunities.

EHCEC’s small business survey, in partnership with the Truist Foundation, is a pivotal step toward creating a thriving ecosystem for East Harris County businesses. By participating in this 10-minute survey, small business owners and managers can shape future programming that addresses their needs and connects them with workshops, trainings, and other vital resources. Helping build a stronger, more prosperous region for innovation and economic opportunity.

The EHCTX Small Business Requirements:

• Complete the survey if you are the owner or manager of a small business operating within the East Harris County region, specifically within the following zip codes: 77532, 77530, 77044, 77015, 77029, 77547, or 77049.
• Employ fewer than 50 people.
